why current is a scaler quantity

Open in App
Solution

Current is a scalar quantity. Though the electric current represents the direction of flow of positive charges, yet is treated as a scalar quantity because it follows the laws of scalar addition, but it does not follows the vector law of addition, i.e., the angle between the wires does not affect the total current in the circuit.
