Why did Anne go to the gym class?

As a part of the Nazi propaganda and impositions, Jewish kids were only allowed to attend Jewish schools. Anne tells about her school experiences, and how she went to the gym with her class, however she is not allowed to participate since her shoulder and hip tend to dislocate easily.
