Why did farming enable people to live in permanent communities?

The practice of farming is not a work of individual, it needs the joint effort of many people working together. These people live together, built their houses near to each other and work in the field together. In doing work of farming they become interdependent. Also, they do not have to travel a long distance to find foods. All these activities enable them to live in permanent communities.
