Why did the constitution framers make provisions for amendments in the indian Constitution ?

Since constitution is a set of rules which needs to followed by the citizens so keep to it updated with the present situation it needs to amended. Those who made the constitution realized that it has to be changed with further changes in society. They did not perceive it as something which is unchangeable. Therefore, constitution framers kept a provision of amendments.
