Why do blood vessels look blue under the skin?

It is a myth that the deoxygenated blood looks blue. Actually the oxygenated blood look bright red whereas deoxygenated blood look dark red.

We see blue colored vessels under the skin because of light reflection. Red light goes through the skin more easily than blue light, most of the blue light is get reflected that is why we see blue colored vessels under the skin.
