Different saops have different foaming capacity because they are made up of different salts of different fatty acids.
for eg :
Sodium stearateC₁₇H₃₅COONa
Sodium Palamitate. (CH₃(CH₂)₁₄COONa
Basically the foaming capacity is dependent upon the ability of micelle formation of these salts of fatty acids.
