Open in App
Solution

1.Grasses have fibrous roots, spreading throughout the tiny pores of the soil and as the root die and decay the soil become well supplied with humus.
2.Trees roots are deeper and do not invade pores of the soil, so humus content of the forest are less.
3.However, there are other factors like temperature, rainfall, availability of raw material for humus also plays an important role.Therefor not all forest soils are low in humus content.
