Open in App
Solution

In gymnosperms, reproductive organs are in form of cones. Male gametophytes grow on microsporophylls and they produce pollen tubes. Whereas female gametophytes is produces inside ovule. So fertilization doesnot require water medium. As male gametophytes do not require medium to travel as in case of bryophytes.
