Question

why do magnetic lines of force form continous closed loops?

Open in App
Solution

We know that mono pole does not exist and magnet is a dipole(north as well as south pole).
Field lines always start from the north pole and end at the south pole outside the magnet, but inside the magnet direction is south to north.

Hence, magnetic field lines always form closed loop.
