why do spacemen have to wear specially designed suits?? Does it do anything with pressure??

Dear Student! Dinidharan,

Our bodies are habitual of Earth's environment which protects us from harsh changes of temperature in space, and also pressure of atmosphere. In space the only mode of heat transfer is radiation unlike convection on Earth due to its atmosphere. Thus, space-suit provides a Earth like temperature by a mechanism inbuilt in the suit.

This suit maintains a Earth like pressure, so that all the organs specially beathing and blood-circulation takes place smoothly. Many more features like communication system, shield against micrometeors etc. are installed on the suit.
