Question

why do viruses not have cytoplasm , mitochondria etc ??

Open in App
Solution

Viruses are not truly ‘living’ as they are living only inside the host body, else inert because they don't have any cellular machinery of their own. When they are present inside the body of a host, they take over the host cell machinery to replicate themselves, killing the host. That's why they are often called as biological puzzles.
