Question

why does angle of incidence does not matter in measuring refractive index

Open in App
Solution

refractive index = speed of light in airspeed of light in vacuum. = sin i sin rwhere i is the angle of incidencewhere r is the angle of refractionas speed changes, angle changes.so angle of incidence is not equal to angle of refraction.
So refractive index depends upon the angle of incidence.
