Blood doesn't clot inside the body due to the presence of naturally-occurring anticoagulant heparin, secreted by basophils and mast cells. Heparin released in the blood vessels prevents blood from clotting.
If a clot is formed in body then it may lead to various health disorders such as thrombosis or stroke. A clot will hinder in the normal blood flow resulting in swelling, reddishness and pain. If a clot is formed in heart then it’s fatal as heart pumps blood to the rest of the body parts. Thrombosis is the condition associated with excessive clot formation in body.
