why does our skin shed when we rub our finger on the desk

Open in App
Solution

The outer layer of our skin contains large number of dead cells. These dead cells get damaged by performing daily activities like rubbing dust over the desk. These are shed to make way for the new cells which are continuously formed by living cells present beneath the skin.
