Question

why does presence of thymine instead of uracil gives additional stability to DNA?

Open in App
Solution

Thymine is more stable than uracil that is why it is present in DNA. Since DNA has to be stable and RNA tends to be unstable, to accomplish these things thymine is a component of DNA to make it a little more stable while uracil is present in RNA to add to its instability.
