Solution

Dear Student,
Sugar does not conduct electricity because it is an organic compound and covalent in nature, it does not contain ions while the electricity is conducted by ions only so, in salt solution the ions are found which conduct electricity but in sugar solutions the ions are not found and so they do not conduct electricity.
