Solution
Rodents grow their front teeth (incisors) throughout their life as these are subject to lot of wear and tear. This is made possible because of the fact that their root canal remains open. Teeth in reptiles and other lower vertebrates also grow throughout their life to replace the worn ones. Teeth in humans do not grow after crossing the maturation stage (crown stage). The enamel does not grow throughout the life in humans, whereas it grows in rodents.
