Solution

Hi,

In CRT the electrons from the electron shooting gun after getting accelerated by the electrical fields must fall on a surface that can convert the electron beams to light rays for humans to visualize, since fluorescent materials like phosphor etc, glows when electrons fall on them that is why they are used.

Actually, in color CRTs three electron guns are placed that fall on points on the screen called pixel. Now each pixel consists of three different materials that produce red, green and blue colors with the passage of electrons on them. All colors can be generated by mixing different shades of red, blue and green colors.
