Question

why doesn't pressure inside the balloon reduce when air inside is heated?

Open in App
Solution

Boyle’s law states that for a given amount of gas the pressure of the gas is inversely proportional to its volume.

In case the air inside is heated of an expanding balloon this law doesn’t hold since the amount of gas is changing. So, both volume and pressure of the gas within the volume increases with air filled into it.
