Open in App
Solution

The wild type rose plant and lilly plants develop fruits. The rose plant produces fruit that is known as rose hip. It is typically red-to-orange in colour, but ranges from dark purple to black in some species. Water lilly also bear fruit which is spongy round, with lots of edible seeds. But the hybrid varieties of the rose plant does not produce fruits as they reproduce by vegetative reproduction. Also they are used for commercial purposes to produce more flowers, so old flowers are removed before the formation of fruit.
