Why don't we use nuclear fusion reaction in nuclear reactor for generating electricity instead of nuclear fission reaction?

Open in App
Solution

Because till date mankind has not been able to control fusion reaction like they have been able to control the fission reaction. Now, if the fusion reaction were to be initiated then it will become uncontrollable and it will create a massive explosion which can destroy any thing in range if 100s of miles.
