Question

Why Gay lussac law is not included in the Ideal gas equation?

Open in App
Solution

Gay lussac law is also part of ideal gas equation.

Ideal gas equation..

pv=nRT........(1)

For fixed volume of gas, V, n and R all becomes constant...

so ideal gas equation can be written as

P = KT (K = nR/T)

or P ∝ T

which is nothing but the expression of Gay lussac law
