Open in App
Solution

As already answered,

In general, Hot water freezes later than cool water because time is required by hot water to expel out excess heat in it and then start freezing. But some scientists have conducted experiments in which they have noticed that hot water freezes faster than cool water under some experimental conditions. The same fact is still under investigation.
It is said that hot things should not be kept in freeze because on doing so, there are chances of getting the thing spoiled because of sudden drop in temperature. Also for a hot thing to get cooled, it takes more time than a thing at normal room temperature.
