Solution

Money plant is a common name used to represent some plants of different species like Epipremnum aureum, Lunaria annua etc. They are terrestrial leafy plants usually and can be grown in partial sun, moist to mesic conditions. They do not need much care and can tolerate medium sunlight to shade.

Lunaria plants are called Money Plants because of their "coin shaped", translucent and silvery seed podswhich represents silver coins.

Also, there is a story linked to other plants of this group. It is believed that the plant brings good fortune and money and hence named money plant.
