Why is circulation of carbon in nature important?
The carbon cycle is very important to life on earth. The carbon cycle is critical to the food chain.
Carbon is the important constituent of all living tissues. Plants utilise carbon from the environment in the form of CO2 to make food by the process of photosynthesis. All animals are dependent on plants for food and obtain the food by eating the plants or their products. So carbon on reaching to animals gets locked in their tissues. In order to release that carbon back to the environment for utilization by plants, carbon cycle is important.
Carbon cycle is important to maintain the normal temperature on the earth. An decrease or increase will result in the change in climate on earth.
