Diabetes is a disease in which a person has high blood sugar level. Taking diet which has total carbohydrates content will be broken down into glucose which affects the blood sugar levels. Both rice and chapatis are made of rich fibre, while chapatis eaten, they tend to fell full faster and thereby eating less. But rice has lower satisfaction value and hence one tends to it in larger quantity. Therefore, a diabetic patient should avoid rice since it has rich carbohydrate content.
