It is better to breathe through your nose because nose contains fine hair like bristles which will filter the air we breathe in and entrap all the dust particles and micro-organisms present in it. Nose also possess sinuses which can filter and warm the air going towards the lungs. Whereas mouth does not contain these bristles and allow all the micro-organisms and dust particles to enter inside the body with the air we breathe.
