A strategy for judicious use of resources is called a resource planning. It is important in India because they are the basis of all economic activities which are necessary for the development of a nation.The need also arises because there are regions which are rich in certain types of resources but others are deficient . There are some regions which can be considered self sufficient in terms of the availability of resources and there are some regions which have acute shortage of some vital resources.
