why is it that blue light mainly gets scattered instead of violet? what happens to the violet colour

The violet colour is scattered more compared to blue.Our eyes are more sensitive to the middle region of the visible electromagnetic spectrum and blue color is more closer to it than violet or indigo. This is why we perceive the sky to be blue as our eyes are more receptive to such frequencies.
