Solution

Our body develops immunity against a disease after exposure to a disease causing microbe. So, when body second time encounters the same microbe the disease will not be manifested. This happens in the case of chicken pox virus. When it causes the disease for the first time in a person, body develops immunity against it. If it enters second time in a body, antibodies are generated against the virus by the immune system of the body and it gets destroyed without manifesting the disease. However, we get cold many times. This is because the virus responsible for causing cold or flu have various strains or forms. Each time we get cold, different form of virus enters our body which is not previously encountered. Immune system of the body can not recognize that form and hence it is unable to destroy the virus. This result in manifestation of disease and we get cold.
