Question

Why is pressure less when velocity is more and why is pressure more when velocity is less?

Open in App
Solution

According to Bernoulli’s theorem,

P + ½ ρv2 + ρgh = constant

Where, P is the pressure, ρ is the density, v is the velocity and h is the height from the ground.

If the ‘h’ is constant we observe that increase in pressure P will decrease v and decrease in P will increase v to keep the equation constant.
