Solution
Drip irrigation is a method of irrigation in which irrigation water is supplied to the plants directly using small pipes which makes water drip slowly to the roots of the plant, thereby reducing both the consumption and loss of water
Advantages of drip Irrigation:
It saves water by allowing it to drip slowly direct to the roots of the plants.
Fertilizer and nutrient loss can be minimized.
Recycled water can be safely used.
Soil erosion can be minimized.
Water distribution is highly uniform.
Labour cost is less.
Apart from roots other parts of the plant remain dry which reduces risk of diseases.
