Solution

Synapse is a region where two neurons transmit information. At the nerve endings the electrical impulse triggers the release of chemicals which need to go to the next neuron to enable it to conduct the message. An electrical impulse cannot jump from one neuron to other. The chemical messengers at synapse go to the next neuron and again generate an electrical impulse.
