Question

why male anopheles mosquito does not spread malaria?

Open in App
Solution

Male Anopheles do not bite animals as well as do not spread malaria, as they simply do not need to suck blood containing nutrients to provide proteins for eggs.

Male anopheles do not produce eggs. Female anopheles need to do the same and in doing so they spread malaria.

Male as well as female anopheles feed on nectars and damaged food, but to provide extra proteins for eggs, female anopheles additionally suck blood from animal's body.
