Question

Why male reproductive system is called "urinogenital system".

Open in App
Solution

The male reproductive system has a pair of testis attached to the kidneys. The testis produces sperm which is carried through vasa efferentia into the kidneys. Kidneys then pass the sperm through ureters. Since the urine is also passed through the same pathway i.e. kidneys to ureters the two systems excretory and reproductory are together termed as “urinogenital system”.
