Question

Why milk and water is a heterogeneous mixture

Open in App
Solution

At macroscopic level ( to naked eyes), milk and water is a homogeneous mixture but at microscopic level ( under a microscope); milk is an emulsion and thus a heterogeneous mixture. The fats in milk are dispersed as small droplets in water due to which the mixture is no uniform and thus heterogeneous.
