Question

why no current passes through capacitor when applied through dc?, explain by displacement current.

Solution

In fact, a capacitor does allow dc current to flow through it, but only till it is fully charged. At this point, the voltage developed across the capacitor matches the external voltage supplied by the battery. This would mean that infinite resistance is present in the circuit and thus no more (dc) current flows through it.
