why only 36 ATP are produced during aerobic respiration? why more or less ATP are not produced during this process?

36 ATP s are produced per glucose in cellular respiration. 2 ATP s are produced in glycolysis, 2 in Krebs cycle or citric acid cycle and rest 32 ATPs are formed in electron transport system. It is under ideal condition. But in reality such condition is rare to find due to various types of ATP losses in various internal steps.
