why oxygen cycle is not a perfect cycle?

Oxygen cycle is not a perfect cycle because it does not maintains the over all amount of oxygen through out the cycle in the soil, water and atmosphere. There is no balance in the oxygen cycle between various compartments, i.e material doesnot move the same way in both biotic and abiotic compartments.
