why parallax method cannot be used to measure distances of stars more than 100 light years?

Precise parallax measurements come associated with error. Though these errors are insignificant for distances up-to 100 light years but beyond that they so much that they're not counted to be reliable. That is the reason they're not used for calculations beyond 100 light years.
