Question

why temperature should not too low in henry law?

rn

and why pressure should low during henry law?

Open in App
Solution

A limitation of the Henry's Low is that, it is applicable only when the gas behaves like an ideal gas.

An ideal gas is one in which there is no attraction between the gas molecules at all. But there is always certain amount of attraction between gas molecules when the pressure is high i.e. the molecules are close to each other.

For eliminating the attraction between the gas molecules the pressure should be low and the molecules should move with high speed apart from each other . For increasing the speed of molecules the temperature should be high.
