Question

why the colour of sky from earth is blue while from other planet it is black

Open in App
Solution

Due to the atmosphere of the earth, the light rays undergo scattering. The air molecules and fine particles scatter the light rays, the blue light gets scattered the most due to its comparable wavelength to size of molecule and particles.

In space, when you look from any other planet there is no atmosphere for the light rays to get scattered. Hence, it looks black.
