Question

Why the electrons need to radiate energy and why they do not radiate enery while moving in discrete orbits?

Open in App
Solution

Electrons radiate energy only after they have absorbed it in the form of radiation, and moved into excited state.

When moving in their designated orbitals they do not possess any extra (absorbed) energy and hence do not radiate energy.
