2) Some say that this pressure to win electoral fights does not allow sensible long term policies to be formulated because good people who wish to serve the country do not get a chance to contest in elections and win the same.
3) They do not like the idea of dragging into unhealthy politics and competition but this is not so in real life. Political leaders who want to remain in power has to serve the people’s interests and if they do not do so, they would not rule or even get a chance in next elections.
