Zimbabwe has been ruled by a single party ZANU-PF since its independence. Robert Mugabe is is leader since 1980 who acts in a non- democratic way. People are unhappy because he uses unfair means to win elections. He has changed the Constitution several times to increase the powers of the President. Opposition parties cannot held public meetings freely. People are not allowed to criticise the government and his policies.Public protests and demonstrations are banned. The mass media cannot go against the government.
