In summer the temperature of the atmosphere becomes very high. Rise in temperature results in evaporation of water from water bodies and soil. Moreover due to heat, requirement of water for all the living organisms increases. Rainfall can only give back some amount of water but in summer usually there is no rainfall. Thus acute shortage of water takes place
