Question

why traits such as intelligence and knowledge cannot be passed on to next generation

Open in App
Solution

Intelligence is both influenced by environment and genetics. Knowledge is an acquired trait as it can be gained only through labour and hard work but intelligence is both an acquired and inherited trait as intelligence can be decided by genes and also by knowledge and experience. So intelligence can be partially transmitted to the next generation and then it has to be honed by the individual during his/her life time.
