Why was the method of classification of animals proposeed by Aristole was not accepted? Explain with example.

Aristotle system of classification was artificial. He divided animals into two categories, enaima (with red blood) and anaima (without red blood). Aristotle also classified animals on the basis of their habitat: aquatic, terrestrial and aerial.
Such a system of classification is based mostly on convergence. It does not study homology. The characters chosen for classification do not reflect any natural relationship. Hence, Aristotle's system of classification was rejected.
