Question

Will Colloid particles get suspended again after centrifugation if left undisturbed?

Open in App
Solution

If colloidal particles left undisturbed after centrifugation they do not form the colloidal solution again.
Also the colloidal solutions are of two types one is lyophilic (solvent loving) and other is lyophobic ( solvent hating).
In lyophilic colloidal solution, we get our colloidal solution back if it is shaken well. However in lyophobic colloidal solution we do not get the original colloidal solution even if shaken well.
