Question

will there be any difference in the power of the spherical lenses is they are immersed in water ?

Solution

Yes, when a glass lens is immersed in water, its power will be reduced because power of lens depends upon refractive index of interfacing media. When lens is immerged in water, refractive index of lens with respect to water is lower than that with respect to air.
